UPDATED CORONAVIRUS COVID-19 AND NEW ENTRY TO VIETNAM POLICIES

LATEST NEWS: FLIGHTS AND VISA POLICIES RELATED TO COVID-19 IN VIETNAM

1.1 E-VISA:
Temporarily stop issuing e-Visa for foreigners who are in or have recently visited areas where Covid-19 is spreading.

1.2 SUSPENSION OF VISA EXEMPTIONS PROGRAM:
Vietnam has temporarily suspended visa exemptions for citizens of these countries:
 
1. South Korea6. Sweden
2. Spain7. United Kingdom
3. Germany8. Denmark
4. France9. Finland
5. Italy10. Norway

Citizens from other countries with more than 500 confirmed cases of COVID-19, or more than 50 new cases per week, will be denied entry to Vietnam at this time. With special exceptions only, all travelers arriving from and who have transited through mainland China, Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk within the past 14 days will be refused entry to Vietnam at the moment.

1.3 MEDICAL DECLARATION:
Starting March 7th, ALL inbound travelers entering Vietnam, are required to submit a health declaration form. Travelers need to fill out this form at the airport upon arrival or submit it online in advance at https://tokhaiyte.vn/ WE SUGGEST YOU DO THIS ONLINE IF POSSIBLE PRIOR TO DEPARTURE.

When completing the form, please see below the names of the entry ports:-
• If you enter from Hanoi, the entry gate will be “NOI BAI International airport”
• If you enter from Ho Chi Minh, the entry gate will be “TAN SON NHAT International airport”
• If you entre from Danang, the entry gate will be “DANANG International airport”

All travelers entering Vietnam from or having transited through mainland China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Italy, and Iran must carry out medical declarations and medical checks upon entering the country.

For any travelers who have any kind of low- grade illness or need regular medication we are recommending you bring a letter from your doctor stating the list of medications you are taking and reasons, and also list all vaccines you have had in readiness for your trip. Travelers showing symptoms of COVID-19 may be required to carry out medical checks, and placed in a 14-day quarantine at designated health facilities in Vietnam.

All visitors are required to comply with regulations on epidemic prevention and health screening upon landing in Vietnam’s airports.

* 01 female, 26 years old in Hanoi (referred to as “BN§17”) who visited her sister in England then went to Italy and France before returning to Hanoi via London on February 2nd, 2020.
* 01 male, 27 years old from Thai Binh who returned to Vietnam from Daegu (South Korea) on March 4th, 2020 (referred to as “BN18”)
* 02 people in close contact with patient BN17 who have been tested positive with COVID-19 on March 6th (referred to as “BN19” and “BN20”).
* 01 male, 61 years old in Hanoi who was sitting near the BN17’s row on the flight (referred to as “BN21”).
* 08 foreign passengers flying on the same flight with patient BN17 from London to Hanoi, including:
- “BN22”: 60 years old, British nationality;
- “BN23”: 66 years old, British nationality;
- “BN24”: 58 years old, Mexican nationality;
- “BN25”: 70 years old, British nationality;
- “BN26”: 50 years old, Irish nationality;
- “BN27”: 67 years old, British nationality;
- “BN28”: 74 years old, British nationality;
- “BN29”: 58 years old, British nationality.
* 01 female passenger, 66 years old, of British nationality traveling on a flight from London to Noi Bai in the morning of March 2nd, 2020 (BN30)
* 01 male passenger, 49 years old, of British nationality traveling on a flight from London to Noi Bai in the morning of March 2nd, 2020 (BN31)
