New Travel Policies Put In Place By Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand & Myanmar

As the rest of the world, ASIA DMC's destination countries have been taking new measures against COVID-19, and some of these could temporary affect immigration and travel. To keep you updated and able to work with your clients in a timely manner, we would like to bring you a quick overview on the latest policies introduced by Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Myanmar for the time being.

Vietnam: (visit Vietnam Tourism site for more information)
  • From March 15, Vietnam suspends all visas and entry (including e-visa) for citizens of the UK and all Schengen countries as well as those transiting through these areas within the past 14 days prior to their arrival to Vietnam. Visa-on-arrival is suspended for all foreign nationals (except for those travelling for official or diplomatic purposes). This restriction will be in place for 30 days.
  • For passport holders with an existing Vietnam visa, an immediate 14-days quarantine is mandatory upon arrival. All foreign travellers will need to comply with official health procedures when in Vietnam.
  • From March 16, all foreign nationals in Vietnam (as well as all Vietnamese citizens) are required to wear face masks in public areas and throughout every domestic or international flight from and to Vietnam.
  • Numerous hotels, attractions and crowded areas are closed until further notice. Click the following links to see lists of ASIA DMC's temporarily closed accommodations and attractions, updated daily until end of March 2020.

Cambodia:
  • From March 17, Cambodia will refuse entry for Italian, German, Spanish, French and US nationals. This restriction will be in place for 30 days.
  • All kinds of cruises and speed boats are banned until further notice.
Thailand:
  • Passengers must comply with health screening procedures at Thailand airports. Without a risk-free certificate after screening, passengers will be refused their boarding passes.

Laos remains free from the coronavirus and continues to apply the initial restrictions which require travellers coming from a COVID-19 infected countries to self-monitor or self-quarantine. In cases where related symptoms are detected, travellers will be transferred to a hospital for testing and quarantine.
