New Extended Five-Day Scenic Rim Trail For Great Walks Of Australia Launches April 2020

Great Walks Of Australia is excited to announce the Scenic Rim Trail – one of the Great Walks Of Australia – is now an all-new five-day guided walking experience and open for bookings for departures from April 2020.

Presented by Spicers Retreats, the new, expanded 50 km Scenic Rim Trail is one of QLD’s biggest ever eco-tourism projects and allows hikers to experience more of the regions majestic World Heritage Listed Gondwana rainforests and sweeping volcanic plateaus.

Located 1.5 hours from Brisbane, the Scenic Rim Trail runs from Spicers Thornton View Nature Refuge, to Spicers Peak Nature Refuge, and through the Main Range National Park. As well spectacular views and getting up close with the native flora and fauna, other highlights guests will experience include ascending the Mistake Mountain range and the chance to visit an onsite koala monitoring centre.

Delivered with Spicers’ famed hospitality, guests will stay in a variety of deluxe accommodation, including brand new eco-cabins, and enjoy gourmet food and wine.
The walk has been the vision of Spicers’ owner and keen nature enthusiast, Jude Turner, for over 20 years.

“Having grown up in this region, my passion has always been to share it with others,” Mrs Turner said.

“Travellers who enjoy guided luxury walking holidays such as those found in other states will have the option to book the Spicers Scenic Rim Trail, a world-class luxury ecotourism experience and the first of its kind in Queensland.”

The new 5-day walk is priced at AUD $3,190pp twin share, all inclusive. Guests are also able to combine the new 5-day and the existing 2-day walk for a 70km/7-day experience.
