Boat Ride Through Fushimi, Sake Brewery District

Enjoy the unique scenery of the Fushimi district at your leisure from atop the canal waters. The “jikkoku-bune” is a boat that carried rice, sake, and travellers along the Yodo River during the Edo Period (1603-1868).

Back in commission as a sightseeing boat, the boat carries twenty passengers for a 50 minute round-trip journey along the Uji River, with its scenery of sake breweries and willow trees.

Riders will get off once at Misunokomon, and will be able to see exhibitions about how the canals work and manage the water levels in the Misukomon Museum. 

When: 20 Mar-early Dec 202
10:00 a.m. - 4:20 p.m. (Final boat at 3:40 p.m. on November 25 - December 8)
Venue: Boarding from behind the Gekkeikan Okura Sake Museum by the river, boat travels to Misunokomon (And back for a round trip)
Price: 1,200 yen *May be subject to change during boat service period
