The Agate Pattaya Boutique Resort |
After I attended the Mekong River Tourism I extended my stay in Thailand for a few days and traveled down to the beach city of Pattaya. Here I stayed at wonderful The Agate Pattaya Boutique Resort. The Resort was just a short one and a half hour’s bus drive from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport.
The Agate Pattaya Boutique Resort is a luxuriously designed and decorated Resort complex with an attractive lobby, guest rooms and beautiful swimming pool courtyard areas.
The reception staff, concierge were very welcoming when I checked in. The friendly staff were only too willing to indulge and pamper me.
The Boutique Resort has just 71 rooms and suites which are perfect for everyone - whether for a short or long stay or for business or pleasure. There are different types of accommodation options for guests to choose from - Crystal, Fossil, Saphire and Agate rooms, family rooms and suites.
My Crystal guest room was tastefully decorated in contemporary Thai style and equipped with everything I would expect from a guest-friendly resort. I loved the folded towel swans and flowers on the bed when I first entered the room.
The Agate Pattaya Boutique Resort - my room |
My room had large windows and a balcony that looked down over one of the two pool areas. The room was a delight to sit and sleep in, as the room was airconditioned, had a cosy beanbag, and a very comfortable king-sized bed.
The very clean room had a 42"LED TV, with satellite channels telephone, and safe. Tea and coffee making facilities and a mini-bar were in the room.

I enjoyed the free WiFi access my room and the public areas.

The ensuite bathroom had a toilet, shower, vanity, mirror, hairdryer, slippers and free toiletries.
I was spoilt with the recreational facilities that were provided at The Agate Pattaya Boutique Resort There was not just one, but two beautifully landscaped swimming pools - a chlorinated pool & salt chlorinator water system pool. One has a large rock waterfall flowing down into it. A pool bar served a range of drinks and gave me a complimentary welcome mocktail on my arrival. Even though I did not use it, a fitness centre was available for those desiring to tone up their muscles.

The Cliff Restaurant provided me with a delicious buffet breakfast each morning, and it was also open for lunch and dinner meals.
For those who like to mix business with leisure, there is a meeting room, and meeting equipment can be provided.
The Agate Spa consists of seven available spacious treatment rooms - four with bathtub and steam room perfect for your overall wellness, and three dedicated to helping make you feel better with Traditional Thai Massage and reflexology massage. These are open for Resort guests and visitors daily from 11am to 10pm.

Jomtien Beach |
The Agate Pattaya Boutique Resort is located in the well-known “Super Town” entertainment area of Jomtien, and is only 300 metres from Jomtien Beach which is tree lined for shade. The Resort has its own handy Tuktuk Shuttle Service to Jomtien Beach. The sandy Jomtien Beach is cleaner and is more relaxed than the often-congested Pattaya beaches. Jomtien has a wide variety of dining, shopping and beach activities, all within walking distance The Agate Pattaya Boutique Resort. I enjoyed walking to the nearby Night Market one evening, where I bought some souvenirs and a Thai pancake.
The Resort is only10 minutes from busy Pattaya City. One evening I took a 10 baht taxi van to go down to see the bright lights of the Walking Street.
The Agate Pattaya Boutique Resort is ideal for individuals, couples and families who like a beach holiday or for those who love the night scene. They have special offers to save guests money, so check out their website to find out what deals they are offering before booking.
