The 31st Newcastle Jazz Festival, regarded as one of the best in Australia, will be held from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 August. The venue is Wests Leagues and Bowling Clubs, New Lambton. The New Lambton village with its many shops is a five-minute walk.
There will be 40 bands to entertain across the wekend with up to four stage areas available where jazz and blues fans can listen and dance the weekend away. Musicians from Melbourne, Sydney and Newcastle will provide patrons with a wide variety styles including trad jaz, mainstream, swing, rhythm and blues, Gypsy jazz, big bands and jazz orchestras.
