Thailand's Minister of Tourism and Sports and Governor of Nakhon Phanom Province declare readiness to host MTF 2018


  • Nakhon Phanom is ready to host the 2018 Mekong Tourism Forum!
H.E. Weerasak Kowsurat, Minister of Tourism and Sports and the Governor of Nakhon Phanom H.E. Mr. Somchai Vitdamrong announced Thailand’s readiness as the host country of the Mekong Tourism Forum 2018, and looking forward to welcoming delegates to Thailand’s Northeastern or Isan province of Nakhon Phanom for MTF 2018, during 25-29 June 2018, with the theme of ‘Transforming Travel – Transforming Lives.’

From innovative travel startups to inspiring mini movies to thought-provoking keynotes to discussions about Buddhist Tourism - MTF 2018 has something for anybody. And not to forget, for the first time ever, we will have eight thematic strategy workshops in eight ethnic villages. A unique experience not to be missed.

But most importantly, it is about joining the discussion and networking with industry colleagues, in one of the oldest cities along the Mekong River in Thailand and a former Kingdom. The MTF Food Festival will combine the the culinary diversity from Thailand, Isaan, Laos, and Viet Nam - something very special.
