Hoi An Ancient City was one of the busiest trading ports of Southeast Asia in the 17th and 18th centuries. Since its inception in the 16th century, many traders, especially those from Japan, came the city for trade, building cultural works and unique architectures.
This is a beautiful symbol of cultural intercourse and the long-term relationship between the two countries. Maintaining the organization of the annual Hoi An - Japan cultural exchange is a testament for the strong relationship in all fields between Viet Nam and Japan./.
