China Southern Orders $3.2 Billion Planes from Boeing

Aircraft manufacturer Boeing recently announced it had received a $3.2 billion order for 12 787 Dreamliners from China Southern Airlines.

The planes will be delivered from 2018 through 2020. Air travel in China has increased and is projected to continue to grow as the rapidly expanding middle class books more vacations.

Last month, Boeing estimated that demand for new commercial planes in China would reach more than $1 trillion over the next 20 years, making it the first trillion-dollar market in Boeing’s forecasts. Boeing accounts for nearly 50% of all commercial planes in China. Click here to learn more about China Southern Airlines.
