2017 GOLDEN GUITAR AWARD FINALISTS ANNOUNCED

The largest country music festival in the Southern Hemisphere is getting ready to rock Tamworth once again in January 2017, with the finalists of the Golden Guitar Awards announced this week.

Nominated for six Golden Guitars, Travis Collins leads the field with his album Hard Light, alongside a great mix of new faces and favourite country music artists including newcomer Katie Brianna and multi-award winning artists, Kasey Chambers and Troy Cassar-Daley.

NSW Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events Stuart Ayres said the Tamworth Country Music Festival, which is supported through Destination NSW, is recognised world-wide and attracts significant visitation to the State.

“The NSW Government is proud to be supporting the Tamworth Country Music Festival for another three years and we look forward to welcoming the many performers and visitors to Tamworth in January next year for another standout Regional NSW event,” Mr Ayres said.

Presented as part of the Tamworth Country Music Festival, the Awards are the nation’s longest running music awards and play a vital role in developing and promoting Australian country music talent.

The Tamworth Country Music Festival will be held from 20-29 January 2017 with the 45th Toyota Golden Guitar Awards on Saturday 28 January 2017. Tickets are on sale now and available from www.tcmf.com.au.
