The twin sisters are the fifth set of panda twins born on the Chengdu Panda Base in 2016. Qiyuan has given birth four times, which is a record.
After the cubs were born, Qiyuan held the babies in her arms to comfort and lick them, showing her strong maternal instinct and rich breeding experience.
The Chengdu Panda Base has delivered six panda twins within eleven days since June 20.
This summer has turned out to be the birthing season of the giant panda.
