Tune into the brand new series of 'The Gurus Explore' on Channel Nine tosay, 14 February at 4pm as they explore South Korea in winter. South Korea is the first in the new series which sees presenter Trevor Cochrane take you on a journey to the east coast of Korea with its famous ski resorts and the venues and facilities being readied for the next Winter Olympics in February, 2018.

The program also highlights the Hasla Art World Museum Hotel, the making of traditional Korean cookies (hangwa) and explores seafood markets and much more.

Winter travel interest to Korea is growing as many Australians wish to experience a white Christmas and love skiing in the northern hemisphere winter without travelling all the way to Europe and the USA. South Korea is less than a ten hour flight direct from Sydney & Brisbane so a good option for skiers.

The number of Australians travelling to Korea has been increasing steadily in recent years with growing interest in the country due to Korean food, music, film and the great variety of adventures and activities that can be enjoyed in the country.

During 2015, around 133,000 Australians visited the country and many more young Australians see South Korea as an exciting destination with word spreading fast through social media of exciting things to do like K-Pop experiences, street food tours and the fashion and nightlife scene.
