"My Grandma Lived in Gooligulch" Musical in Tamworth

“My Grandma Lived in Gooligulch” will; be performed at the Capital Theatre in Tamworth  on the 1 and 2 August 2011

“My Grandma Lived in Gooligulch” is a rollicking musical tale based on the much-loved book of the same name written by Graeme Base, the international bestselling author.  The book has been adapted into a a musical by Graeme and Garry Ginivan, producer of Wombat Stew and Possum Magic

The Musical tells the story of Kate, a city kid who has to spend the summer holidays with her eccentric Grandma in outback Gooligulch.  Kate is sure it will be the worst holiday of her life - but when she finds the animals in Gooligulch can talk, her eyes are opened to a whole new world.

This Helpmann Award nominated production, which premiered at the Arts Centre in Melbourne in 2006, is full of humour, charm and imagination with stunning puppets, original music and a highly talented cast. This superb Australian musical has universal appeal. The Canberra Times said the musical is “A uniquely Australian show…be sure to give it a go” and the Herald Sun in Melbourne said “Both human and puppet characters enthral.”

My Grandma Lived in Gooligulch is an Australian musical adventure that both kids and adults will love The shows duration is 1hour with no interval, and will be performed on at 1:00 pm, Monday 1 August, 6:00 pm, Monday 1 August and11:00 am, Tuesday 2 August
