Scheduled for June 2027, the CAPA Airline Leader Summit Australia Pacific is recognised as one of the aviation industry's most influential gatherings.
The conference will feature high-level discussions focusing on the issues shaping global aviation, including airline network development, sustainability, evolving passenger expectations, airport growth, emerging long-haul markets and future regional opportunities.
The event will also provide valuable executive networking opportunities, bringing together C-suite airline leaders, airport executives, government representatives and industry stakeholders to exchange ideas and develop strategies for the future of aviation.

The city's tourism growth reflects that momentum. During the year ending September 2025, the Australian Capital Territory welcomed more than 4.5 million visitors, representing annual growth of 4 percent. Domestic day trips and international visitation also recorded impressive increases, demonstrating Canberra's growing appeal as both a tourism destination and conference hub.
Canberra Airport Strengthens International Connections
A major factor behind Canberra's selection is the continued expansion of Canberra Airport and its growing airline network.
Recognised as Australia's highest-rated airport for overall customer satisfaction, Canberra Airport handled more than 2.7 million passengers during 2025, with passenger numbers expected to continue growing as new domestic and international services are introduced.
The airport has significantly strengthened its international connections in recent years. Virgin Australia has launched three weekly flights between Canberra and Bali, marking the airline's first international service from Australia's capital.
Adding further momentum, Qatar Airways is scheduled to resume four weekly flights to Doha from September, reconnecting Canberra with one of the world's largest international airline networks, offering onward access to more than 170 global destinations.
Domestic connectivity is also expanding, with QantasLink resuming four weekly services to Hobart and Link Airways introducing four weekly flights to Launceston, creating additional travel options for business and leisure passengers.

Improved air services not only benefit business travellers attending conferences and government meetings but also encourage greater leisure tourism throughout the Australian Capital Territory.
