TRICKD on the Gold Coast: Australia’s First Reality-Bending Immersive Attraction Opens in Surfers Paradise

TRICKD
The Gold Coast has long been famous for its beaches, nightlife, and world-class family attractions, but a brand-new experience is about to take entertainment to another dimension. Launching in Surfers Paradise this March, TRICKD is set to become one of Australia’s most exciting immersive attractions, offering visitors a mind-bending journey that challenges the limits of perception and reality.

Opening just in time for the Easter school holidays on Monday March 16, 2026, TRICKD promises a groundbreaking sensory adventure where mirrors distort reality, gravity appears to shift, and the senses play tricks on the mind. Backed by the globally recognised Ripley’s Believe It or Not! World Entertainment, the new attraction is expected to quickly become one of the must-visit experiences on the Gold Coast.

A New Era of Immersive Entertainment in Australia

TRICKD marks the first attraction of its kind in Australia, bringing together cutting-edge technology, optical illusions, interactive environments, and multi-sensory experiences to create a reality-distorting journey suitable for all ages.

TRICKD
Located in the heart of Surfers Paradise, the attraction spans an impressive 667 square metres and features a multi-million-dollar fit-out designed to blur the lines between the physical world and digital illusion. From the moment visitors enter, they begin a gradual descent into a playful world where perception becomes unreliable and the familiar suddenly feels strange.

The experience starts subtly with visual illusions and shifting perspectives before progressively building into a full sensory adventure. Reflections appear slightly off, walls bend in unexpected ways, and spaces transform through clever geometry and lighting. As guests move deeper into the attraction, the senses are challenged further through sound distortions, tactile illusions, and even flavour experiments that make visitors question what they think they know about taste.

Three Reality-Twisting Zones to Explore

The immersive journey through TRICKD unfolds across three uniquely designed zones, each offering a new layer of mind-bending discovery.

Dr. Enigma’s Laboratory

The adventure begins in a mysterious scientific space where everything appears normal at first glance. However, subtle details quickly reveal that something is not quite right. Mirrors twist reflections, glowing experiments challenge physics, and optical illusions slowly dismantle the rules of reality.

This introductory zone sets the stage for the journey ahead, inviting visitors to question what their senses are telling them.

The Anomaly Zone

TRICKD
Stepping deeper into the attraction, guests enter a world where proportions shift and patterns warp in unexpected ways. Colours seem to move, sounds appear from impossible directions, and tactile elements mislead the brain.

The Anomaly Zone pushes perception further off balance, creating an environment where the mind struggles to interpret what it is seeing, hearing, and feeling.

The Paradox Glitch Zone

The experience concludes with a spectacular high-tech finale. The Paradox Glitch Zone merges light, motion, and mixed-reality effects into a digital playground where the physical and virtual worlds collide.

Glitching environments and immersive visuals create a futuristic setting that feels like stepping inside a living digital landscape, delivering a thrilling conclusion to the TRICKD adventure.

A Must-Visit Attraction for the Gold Coast

TRICKD
With immersive entertainment booming worldwide, the launch of TRICKD adds a cutting-edge experience to the Gold Coast’s ever-evolving tourism scene. Designed for both locals and visitors, the attraction offers hands-on exploration that can be enjoyed solo, with friends, or as part of a family outing.

Victor Danau, Director of Asia Pacific Development and Operations at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! World Entertainment, says the new attraction reflects the growing global demand for immersive experiences.

He explains that immersive entertainment is rapidly expanding across industries, from concerts to sporting events, and the Gold Coast provides the perfect location for a new sensory-driven attraction that appeals to both tourists and residents. TRICKD has been designed as a playful space where people can explore, interact, and challenge their senses while questioning what is real.

Perfect Timing for Easter School Holidays

Launching just ahead of the Easter school holidays, TRICKD is expected to become one of the most popular family attractions on the Gold Coast this season. The interactive design makes it suitable for children and adults alike, offering a fun and educational experience that sparks curiosity and imagination.

Visitors are encouraged to allow between 45 and 90 minutes to fully explore the attraction, ensuring plenty of time to engage with the many illusions, puzzles, and immersive environments.

Located at Level 1, 4 Orchid Avenue in Surfers Paradise, the attraction is easily accessible and offers convenient on-site parking for visitors.
