This extraordinary event will bring together vibrant colors, fragrant flowers, and the beauty of local culture, making it a must-visit for anyone wanting to experience the charm of Vietnam’s flower-growing region.

A Blooming Marvel: 15 Kilometers of Flowers

Stretching across district roads 34, 35, and 37, the 15 km flower street will be adorned with a variety of ornamental plants, including red loc, cypress, bougainvillea, and chrysanthemums. The scenic route is not just a visual delight but also a free public space for visitors to explore and take stunning photos. The sheer scale and beauty of this floral wonderland promise to be a highlight of the festival, offering visitors an immersive experience in the heart of Vietnam’s flower-growing region.

Cho Lach Flower Street is set to be a record-breaking display, attracting visitors from all over the country and beyond. The flowers will be meticulously arranged along the streets, creating a vivid tapestry of color and fragrance that celebrates the region’s rich agricultural heritage.

A Celebration of Local Culture and Flowers

2025 marks the first year that Cho Lach District will host the "Festival Colors" at the Cho Lach District Cultural Tourism Village, with a focus on honoring the region’s renowned flower-growing traditions. The festival will feature a host of activities that spotlight the local culture and the district’s agricultural prowess.

Cho Lach Flower Village is one of the two largest flower villages in the Mekong Delta, alongside Sa Dec. Starting from mid-October, local farmers begin cultivating flowers to prepare for the Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday, and by the time of the festival, the fields are bursting with colors. This year, Cho Lach is expected to produce around five million blooming flowers, including marigolds, raspberry chrysanthemums, Dutch chrysanthemums, and various types of hanging flowers. The flowers are not only sold through traditional markets but also promoted through e-commerce channels, allowing local farmers to reach a broader audience.

An Immersive Experience for Tourists

The festival will feature over 100 booths showcasing ornamental flowers, livestock, garden tourism, traditional craft villages, and food courts, offering visitors a full experience of the region’s agricultural and cultural offerings. The festival will also include hands-on experiences where tourists can learn how to make flower pots, graft seedlings, and explore the art of bonsai. Additionally, visitors will be able to observe the process of growing ornamental flowers without pesticides, promoting sustainable farming practices.

A unique highlight of the festival will be the “Hoang Ke Cho Lach” cockfighting event, which will feature hundreds of cockfighters and more than 150 fighting cocks from across the country. This age-old tradition offers visitors a chance to witness the competitive spirit and cultural significance of cockfighting in the region.

Promoting Sustainable Tourism

According to Nguyen Minh Duc, Vice Chairman of Cho Lach District People’s Committee, the festival marks an important step towards integrating tourism with the district’s flower and ornamental plant industry. To prepare for this, local farmers have undergone training in tourism and customer service, including how to engage with tourists, decorate landscapes, and manage garden grounds. Through these initiatives, Cho Lach aims to position itself as the leading center for flowers and ornamental plants in Vietnam, with hopes to further develop its tourism industry.

The festival is not just about showcasing beautiful flowers but also about building a sustainable tourism model that supports local communities. By promoting flower farming alongside tourism, Cho Lach is creating new opportunities for farmers and local businesses to thrive, while also offering visitors a chance to connect with the culture and traditions of the Mekong Delta.

A Must-Visit Destination

With its record-breaking flower street, cultural performances, hands-on activities, and a strong emphasis on sustainable tourism, the Cho Lach Flower Festival is shaping up to be one of the most exciting and colorful events in Vietnam.
