In Japan, the urban legend of Turbo Bachan (Turbo Granny) chills those who dare drive on remote roads late at night. This ghostly figure is said to be an elderly woman with a wild, menacing expression, able to move at unnatural speeds, faster than any human should. Turbo Bachan is often spotted sprinting alongside cars, her ghostly figure keeping up with cars even when the drivers speed up in fear. Witnesses claim she glares through car windows with an unsettling intensity, sometimes banging on doors as she races along.
Over time her legend has evolved, and in some versions Turbo Bachan has a sinister motive: to challenge drivers to race her, leading them dangerously close to fatal accidents. Locals say that if you see her, the best thing to do is to drive away calmly and avoid looking at her directly.
