Ho Chi Minh City has surpassed prominent destinations like Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Beijing, earning the prestigious title of “Asia’s Leading Business Travel Destination” at the World Travel Awards 2024. This marks the third year in a row that Vietnam’s bustling southern hub has achieved this honor, as announced by the event organizers during a ceremony held in the Philippines earlier this week.
In addition to this recognition, Ho Chi Minh City also secured the title of “Asia’s Leading Festival & Event Destination.”
Renowned for its modern infrastructure, the city offers a wide selection of luxury hotels and resorts, making it a top-tier location for hosting major business events.
The city’s three-to-five-star hotel market reached a total of 16,542 rooms across 116 properties, representing a 6% year-over-year growth from 2023.
Established in 1993, the World Travel Awards honor outstanding achievements in the travel and tourism sector and are often considered the “Oscars of the travel industry.” The winners are chosen through votes cast by both travel professionals and the general public.
