Kynren – An Epic Tale of England, a live outdoor show, returns for a seven-week run during the UK summer holidays.
The 90-minute extravaganza, which is a ‘dash through 2,000 years of British history’, will be performed every Saturday from 29 July to 9 September 2023.

Performed by a 1,000-strong cast and crew on a 7.5-acre outdoor stage, the show follows a young boy, Arthur through time with choreography, stunts, equestrianism, special effects and pyrotechnics.
From Boudicca’s battles with the Romans to the wo world wars, via Vikings, Tudors and Charles I, Kynren is a family-friendly experience that has attracted almost 400,000 visitors to the town since 2016.
Bishop Auckland, located 12 miles from Durham, stands high above the River Wear with views of the surrounding countryside.
Other attractions in the town include the April Food Festival, Mining Art Gallery, Bishop Trevor Gallery and Auckland Tower.
