An enchanting shrine seemingly floating on a pond...

At the foot of Mt Tsuruhashi in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture, you'll find Suhama Jinja.

The shrine is located on a small island in the middle of Kamoike Pond, which was created in 1617 as a preventive measure against drought.

Visit the shrine to pray to the goddess of water, Ichikishimahime, or simply enjoy the picturesque surrounds.
