However, there are also many “non-ramen” restaurants (does not specialize in ramen) that serve delicious ramen, which is a fact that is more familiar amongst locals. In the hopes for guests to discover these wonderful flavors from both ramen shops and non-ramen restaurants, this program was assembled together.
Characteristics of Ramen Hopping in Asahikawa
1)Ramen hopping of ramen shops and non-ramen restaurants
In this tour, guests can enjoy a variety of Asahikawa ramen by visiting ramen shops and non-ramen restaurants. Asahikawa ramen is unique for using double broth combinations such as pork and seafood, pork and vegetables, etc., and can be enjoyed at the ramen shops. On the other hand, we will introduce long-established soba restaurants which are said to be the origin of Asahikawa ramen and Japanese restaurants where the ramen can be enjoyed with sushi and rice balls.
2) Introduced by the OMO Rangers
OMO Rangers will introduce Asahikawa ramen and the features of each shop during the tour as the walk around town makes sure the stomach to be emptied, ready for a meal! Casual conversations about the characteristics unique to Asahikawa ramen and the special ingredients used may be shared during the tour, which is cannot be found in guidebooks. Knowing the story behind the birth of ramen will surely fill your stomach and your knowledge tank!
3)OMO7 Asahikawa original ramen bowl
At the restaurants selected for this ramen hopping, half-sized ramen can be served using the OMO7 Asahikawa original mini ramen bowl. These mini ramen bowls are sold at the shop of the hotel, so they can be bought as a souvenir, a token of memory to take back home.
