Bringing the Northern Lights to Grand Central Station

Canada is home to the world’s most iconic winter experiences — including the northern lights, offering more vantage points than any other country in the world. For the first time ever, Destination Canada has transported the northern lights to New York City. From December 9 to 11, an interactive northern lights installation is set up in Grand Central Terminal’s Vanderbilt Hall.

The installation gives visitors the experience of walking under the northern lights, with a floor-to-ceiling mirrored light display. There is also accompanying audio and interactive, 360-degree, 3D visuals to give visitors a taste of this iconic experience and inspire future visits to Canada’s north to see this natural phenomenon in real life.
