Accor signs new Pullman hotel in Manila

Accor has announced the signing of Pullman Manila at Primex Tower, a 200-room property slated for completion in 2023. The upscale hotel will be housed within San Juan’s tallest building, Primex Tower, which is currently under construction in the Greenhills district of San Juan, Metro Manila.

The mixed-use development by Primex Realty Corporation will incorporate retail and office spaces on the lower floors, with the hotel situated on the floors above. Primex Tower is located in the upscale Filipino-Chinese residential area of Metro Manila and located within walking distance to the Greenhills Commercial Complex.

Pullman Manila at Primex Tower will boast two restaurants, a lobby lounge and rooftop bar for dramatic views across the skyline from the 50th floor. The hotel will also feature a fitness centre and swimming pool, with guests encouraged to stay on top of their game with extensive fitness offerings focussed on inspiring the mind and energising the body. Dynamic meeting and events facilities will include a ballroom, meeting rooms and a business centre designed to foster collaboration and creativity under the Pullman brand’s MEET/PLAY concept.

“We are delighted to be working with Primex Realty Corporation on this exciting Pullman property in the Philippines. The signing of this project is a great reflection of our confidence in the rebound of tourism and the continued long-term success of our industry. It is really important that we create a diverse array of accommodation options to attract travellers via our global distribution capabilities, which is why we have an expansion plan in place to boost our presence in the Philippines from 7 hotels to 23 hotels within the next five years,” said Garth Simmons, Chief Executive Officer, Accor Southeast Asia, Japan & South Korea.

Andrew Langdon, Senior Vice President Development, Accor, Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea, added, “The Philippines is a market which will continue to thrive in the long-term, driven by economic development, natural attractions, warm hospitality and ongoing improvement of transport infrastructure. It is also a testament of our commitment to the country as one of the key growth destinations in Asia. We are really focussed on expanding our presence here and working with partners who share our vision for what the tourism industry could look like in the future with the right infrastructure and facilities in place,”

Accor currently operates five hotels in the Greater Manila Area, which welcomed over five million visitors by air in 2019. The hospitality group continues to rapidly expand in the Philippines with the signing of Pullman Manila at Primex Tower joining a pipeline of 16 hotels scheduled to open across the country in the next five years.

Karlvin L. Ang, Executive Vice President and Director of Primex Corporation, commented, “We are pleased to be partnering with Accor to welcome an energizing hospitality offering to Primex Tower. We believe that Pullman is the perfect fit for this landmark development, allowing visitors to stay connected and engaged with a range of pioneering amenities and facilities, perfect for both work and play.”

Accor is one of leading international operators in the Philippines with seven hotels across three regions and a strong pipeline of 16 committed projects across the country. Pullman Manila at Primex Tower will join a collection of over 130 Pullman addresses globally across 40 countries.
