It is a boutique 150 rooms hotel that has many features that make it stand out from other hotels. On entering the hotel you transported into a wonderful new world. You pass the seating area on the ground floor and take one of the three lifts up to the Penthouse Reception on the top floor.

Here I was warmly welcomed by the staff on check-in and handed the key card to my room. After settling into my room I went back up to the Penthouse floor and enjoyed a welcome drink and cheese platter.

The top Penthouse floor features a stylish cocktail bar serving classic cocktails, craft beers or fine wines. There is also a refresh and recharge area, a heated outdoor terrace in winter and Sydney’s only hotel rooftop cinema that screens movies for children and adults. The Penthouse floor has wonderful views over the airport and the city through its floor to ceiling windows.

I enjoyed my breakfast up here with a selection of cereals, bread, hot dishes, juices, fruit and hot drinks. It was good to sit looking out the floor to ceiling windows with views of the airport as I read the daily papers and ate. They make a very good cappuccino coffee!
The 24-hour Grab & Go food shop offers a good range of dining options around the clock, with a range of hot and cold, locally-sourced meals, including healthy salads, burgers and sushi available.

There is a choice of Economy, Premium Economy and Busines Class rooms available, each with their own distinctive style. I stayed in the in a corner Business Class room on the 7th floor.
The large 28sqm room had large floor to ceiling corner windows offering views over the Sydney Airport. A very stylish comfy armchair and coffee table were placed in this corner of the room. A writing desk and chair were placed along one wall
I enjoyed my nights sleep on the king-sized bed with plush bedding. Handy bedside tables were on either side of the bed. The room was very quiet to sleep in due to the airport night curfew and the blackout curtains over the windows.

Tea and coffee making facilities, with T2 teas and glassware, were placed over the bar fridge with the included milk.
The standout room feature was the large 55" smart TV. In addition to the usual TV stations, other apps such as Netflx and Youtube could be viewed. The amazing feature was the soft coloured mood lighting emitted from the rear of the TV that changed to match the dominant colours being shown on the TV. It was good to have fast WiFi in the room as well as all the common areas of the hotel.
The large bathroom housed the toilet, vanity and walk-in shower room with its overhead rain shower. A good range of eco-friendly toiletries were provided.

LOCATION
Citadines Connect Sydney Airport is conveniently located at 121 Baxter Rd, Mascot, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is only a 15-minute walk or 2-minute drive to the Sydney Airport domestic terminal and train station, or a 10-minute drive to the international terminal. An Airport Shuttle Bus can be arranged for guests. For those guests driving there is the convenience of onsite parking. It is a 20 minute walk to the nearby cafes and restaurants at Mascot and its train station.

For those on business trips, there is a business centre and meeting rooms to make use of rather than staying in your guest room to work.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Citadines Connect Sydney Airport. It is the ideal hotel for anyone flying from or to the Sydney Airport Domestic Airport. It is also a good alternative hotel for people to stay in rather than a Sydney CBD Hotel. The hotel has a bright modern look about it, it is very clean, and the staff go out of their way to ensure you have an enjoyable stay.
