MAKE YOUR OWN POTTERY AND SUPPORT HANDICAP PEOPLE IN HUE

Have you ever thought about making your own pottery to bring home?

HOPE CENTER organizes a unique “experience with RAKU pottery” for students, tourists or anyone who likes pottery. 

You will be able to decorate yourself your own pottery pieces with enamels, then take them out of the gas kiln after they are fired up to the temperature of 950 degree Celsius in 1 hour. 

You are also the one who cleans your products from the smoke effect of sawdust kiln and discover the typical RAKU cracks effect and colors. 

Especially, during the firing, you will be able to practice with clay, modeling or electric wheel. 

The Hope Center, based in Hue Vietnam, focuses its efforts on assisting disabled and disadvantaged people by providing them with vocational training and work opportunities.

For nearly 20 years, the center has organized more than 45 courses for over 1500 students with sewing, weaving and making handicrafts.
