HF Event Services celebrates 10 years as event production supplier for the Australian Country Music Awards

HF Event Services have recently been awarded production partner for the prestigious Tamworth Country Music Festival and The Golden Guitar Awards for 2020 and 2021, making the partnership a decade long collaboration.

Having first partnered with Australia’s largest music festival in 2011, HF Event Services has year-after-year built on their vision to develop and produce entirely new audio and visual experiences, setting new standards in live production.

The festival has continued to grow in popularity since its inception in 1973, with this year’s event the biggest yet with over 300,000 in attendance, making it Australia’s largest music festival and one of the top music festivals in the world.

Peter Ross, Executive Producer of The Golden Guitar Awards, acknowledges the importance having the right suppliers working on the event, not only to ensure continuity and a seamless delivery, but also to guarantee the festival continues to provide an international platform for country music artists to showcase their artistry, and importantly bolster the region’s tourism industry.

“It’s no mean feat to deliver an event as iconic as the Tamworth Country Music Festival every year, so it’s vital we work with the very best in the business. We are incredibly fortunate to have had Colin Baldwin and the HF Event Services team at the helm over the last eight years. I am certain the next two years will not disappoint!

“The HF Event Services team brings a wealth of expertise, experience, passion and state-of-the-art equipment to ensure a seamless event every year which is so important to music lovers not just locally, but internationally. It’s such a huge project, with hundreds of moving parts – we really rely on our partners to create award-winning experiences for our visitors and HF Event Services have proven capable of this, time and time again,” said Ross.

Colin Baldwin, Creative Director at HF Event Services, explained there is nothing more rewarding than witnessing creative ideas and production design materialise in a live event.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with The Tamworth Country Music Festival, it is a fantastic event and it’s also a sacred event – it’s where some of the globe’s biggest country music artists got their start! We thrive on the challenge of contributing creative ideas and seeing our vision come to life through our stagecraft, technical know-how and expertise.

“We’re incredibly proud of the work we have done to date, but our dream doesn’t stop there. We have big visions for the festival for the next couple of years and beyond - we can’t wait to see it all come together,” concluded Baldwin.

The event’s live stream coverage instantly showcased Australia’s elite country music on a global stage. In 2019 the festival broke all records for the number of eyeballs viewing the event either on-site, via the live stream or due to the national broadcast by the ABC of The Golden Guitar Awards. During this time, HF Event Services were the on-site editors, cutting and editing the live vision to ensure performances and winning moments were captured for all broadcasts, media and streams.

HF Event Services provides full technical and live production services, including, but not limited to:
  • production design and management;
  • supply of large format LED screens, sound reinforcement and creative lighting;
  • Awards graphic design and visual packages;
  • camera systems, video and audio recording;
  • edit of live broadcast for ABC TV broadcast; and
  • over 30 professional crew and stage managers on-site to deliver this annual event.
