The Bowral Family Carols is the largest event of its kind in the Southern Highlands and grows each year, attracting over 4000 members of our community celebrating the miracle of Christmas in 2018.
This year the event will be held on the evening of Thursday, 5 December 2019, at the iconic Bradman Oval. We foresee another great community event celebrating the birth of Jesus in the traditional Australian way: creating long-lasting family memories while we gather as a community to sing Christmas Carols.
This will kick-off with a community picnic at 5:30pm, with refreshments on sale by various vendors organised by the Bradman Centre, and several gratis activities on offer while families enjoy their dinner: roaming photo booths, jumping castles, face-painting artists, performances by a range of local dance troops, choirs and musicians.
At 6:30pm the traditional Nativity Procession with live animals (angels, shepherds and their sheep, Joseph, Mary and baby Jesus on a donkey, as well as the wise men on their camels) with free lolly bags for the children will precede a performance by popular Aria Award Nominee Children Entertainer, Colin Buchanan.
We will commence singing carols at 7:30pm with local artist, Jordan Worner, directing the musical contribution for the evening.
Please note that the event will end with a minute of silence for those affected by bushfires in New South Wales, and the brave men and women fighting them on our behalf 🎄
Hope to see you there!
