Aussie diva finally coming home

Just three Australians have sung Lucia’s famous mad scene (and the rest of it) at La Scala, that Milan opera house famous for its uncompromising audience.

When Jessica Pratt first trod the boards there, she was following in the footsteps of two great Australian stars: Nellie Melba and Joan Sutherland. And that famously hard-to-please audience was enraptured. Since then, the Aussie diva has sung the role of Donizetti’s bloodied bride all over the world.
