The Reel Vietnam

In celebration of the release of Kong: Skull Island, the first Hollywood blockbuster to be filmed in Vietnam, come with us to experience the magic of Vietnam through the lens of film. 

The cinematic representations highlighted in this special series includes classics includes such as The Scent of the Green Papaya (1993), The Quiet American (2002), Cyclo (1995), The Lover (1992), Indochine (1992), in addition to Joe Wright’s Pan (2015). 

From interviews with directors and filming scouts, to movie-inspired itineraries, this is not only celebrating Vietnam’s potential as an international filming location, but puts the spotlight on Vietnam as a premiere tourist destination.
