Binh Minh Square in Cua Lo Town is where the opening ceremony of Cua Lo Tourism Festival 2017 will take place.
The festival’s opening ceremony will take place on April 29 evening with the theme “Convergence and Shining”, and be broadcast live on the Viet Nam Television’s channel 1 (VTV1). The ceremony will conclude with a fireworks display.
Other interesting activities during the festival include a national Cau Ngu festival (a festival praying for a good fishing harvest), weekly street music festival, “Resounding Cua Lo seaside town” program in celebration of the 110th anniversary of Cua Lo tourism, a national beach sepak takraw tournament, a national art program titled “Chanteys connecting rivers”, a tourism trade fair and more.
Besides, tourists can take part in other tours to Uncle Ho’s hometown in Kim Lien Village, Nam Dan District, Nghe An Province; Ho Chi Minh Square in Vinh City; Pu Mat primeval forest in Con Cuong district; sunflower field and TH milk factory in Nghia Dan District, Nghe An Province; Vung Chua-Yen Island in Quang Binh Province.
Furthermore, ecological, spiritual tours and other tourism products would help tourists further explore Cua Lo Town and its people.
This year, Cua Lo targets to welcome 1.817 million tourists, up by 10 percent against last year. It also hoped to earn VND 1,633 billion in tourism turnover, an increase of 15 per cent compared to that last year.
