This year’s festival, themed “Quang Nam - Connecting Cultural Heritage”, is hoped to help visitors gain insight into Quang Nam as a land with a variety of tangible and intangible heritages stretching from plains, coastline, islands to remote inland areas, said Dinh Hai, Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism.
The festival, which will be held in every locality across Quang Nam, will features art performances and culture exchange activities in Hoi An and My Son Sanctuary.
Sea activities will take place during the event with a view of giving visitors new experience on culture of the “heritage coastline”.
Meanwhile, a new marine tour linking Chu Lai – Cu Lao Cham – Tam Hai (Quang Nam) and Ly Son (Quang Ngai) is scheduled to be launched in May.
The provincial Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism has coordinated with localities to prepare traditional and cultural activities, while the local authorities has asked accommodation owners to improve their service quality to meet the demand of domestic and foreign visitors.
To date, the province has 8,000 accommodations for tourists, of which 55 percent being 3–star and above standards.
Quang Nam aims to attract 1 million tourists during the festival.
