The NSW Government has once again secured a major event for Sydney with the premiere season of the blockbuster musical Jersey Boys returning next year.
NSW Minister for Tourism and Major Events Adam Marshall said the enduring story and songs of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons continued to resonate with audiences worldwide while finding new legions of fans through the acclaimed musical Jersey Boys.
“Jersey Boys is one of the most successful shows in theatre history and as Australia’s home of musical theatre, it’s fitting that Sydney will host the return season of this acclaimed production,” Mr Marshall said.
“We expect Jersey Boys to make a triumphant return to Sydney with more than 32,000 overnight visitors expected to travel to the Harbour City to see the production, delivering $21.7 million in visitor expenditure for NSW.”
Jersey Boys will open at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre in August 2018 for a strictly limited season.
