100-DAY COUNTDOWN TO ARSENAL IN SYDNEY TOUR

Sydney was the proud host of English football royalty tlast week when Arsenal legend Sol Campbell toured the Harbour City to officially launch the 100-day countdown to the Gunners games in July.

Destination NSW is Arsenal’s Official Tourism Partner and has secured the team for a two-match tour, exclusive to Sydney.

Sol Campbell’s promotional tour, which forms part of the partnership, included a visit to the Sydney Opera House, a cruise on Sydney Harbour and a trip to Taronga Zoo.

NSW Minister for Tourism and Major Events Adam Marshall welcomed the visit and said Arsenal’s tour of Sydney was a major win for football fans.

“The NSW Government is proud of its continued success in attracting major events to the State and securing the visit of global football power Arsenal to Sydney will continue to showcase our major events capabilities to the world and help us drive economic growth,” Mr Marshall said.

Arsenal is set to play back-to-back blockbusters against Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers at ANZ Stadium on 13 and 15 July.
