Mihara daruma dolls

The city of Mihara is famous for its own original style of ‘daruma’ dolls.

You can tell that it’s a Mihara daruma, because they usually sport a fetching hachimaki bandana.

If you want to try making your own daruma, drop into the Mihara Daruma Kobo just across from Mihara Station.

The volunteers at the workshop will help you to create your very own daruma to take home.

Open Saturdays 10am - 12pm
Mondays and Thursdays from 1pm - 4pm
Fee: 600 yen
