Sydney proved its global appeal this week when it was named the 10th best place in the world to live, according to a new global survey.
Sydney was the only Australian city to make the top 10 in Mercer’s 2017 Quality of Living survey, which examined 450 cities around the world.
The survey also includes a city infrastructure ranking that assesses each destination’s supply of electricity, drinking water, telephone and mail services, public transportation, traffic congestion and the range of international flights available from local airports. Sydney ranked 8th putting it above Perth (32), Melbourne (34), and Brisbane (37).
