ROB GUEST ENDOWMENT GALA CONCERT

A night of exhilarating entertainment awaits musical theatre fans this November when the next generation of theatre stars take to the stage to compete for a $20,000 cash prize.

The Rob Guest Endowment is one of Australia’s most exciting scholarship programs, providing financial assistance and industry support to the next generation of performers and musicians.

Supported by Destination NSW, a Gala Concert will be held on Monday 14 November in Sydney featuring six scholarship finalists who will showcase their talents alongside some of Australia’s most loved stars.

NSW Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events Stuart Ayres said the night promises to once again be a highlight on the musical theatre calendar.

“Now in its eighth year, the Rob Guest Endowment Award celebrates Australia’s brightest young stars by recognising and nurturing outstanding talent in musical theatre and I congratulate all of this year’s finalists,” Mr Ayres said.

Their are six Finalists for the 2016 Rob Guest Endowment Award. Competing against nearly 300 applicants, six outstanding performers were chosen by an expert panel of judges, which included Andrew Pole, Kellie Dickerson, Christopher Horsey and Lisa O’Dea.

The 2016 finalists are Du Toit Bredenkamp, Hilary Cole, Linden Furnell, Stefanie Jones, Genevieve Kingsford and Matthew Predny.

Tickets are now on sale via Ticketmaster with the event to be staged at Sydney’s Lyric Theatre. Guest artists performing at the Concert will be announced soon.
