Adelaide Dining Scene Well Worth Travelling For

South Australia is already making waves on the world culinary stage this year with Adelaide restaurant, Osteria Oggi topping the list as one of the world's hottest dining destinations in a new list by CNN.

Calling Adelaide's dining scene 'dynamic but laidback', the article written by Hong Kong based food writer, Chris Dwyer compiles '10 of the world's best new restaurants' and includes the recently opened Osteria Oggi on top of the list.

Talking about its 'fresh pasta', 'earthy' offal menu items and 'top-drawer' wine offering, it describes the Italian restaurant and Adelaide as well worth travelling for in 2016.

Oggi joins a host of other world-class restaurants and vibrant laneway bars recently opened in the city, further cementing its place as a genuine food and wine destination. Restaurants like Duncan Welgemoed's Africola and Jock Zonfrillo's Orana are both earning high praise internationally.

Adding to the hype, The Telegraph UK has named luxury property Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island as one of the world's top 50 hotels.

The stunning lodge joins the likes of Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in France and Laucala in Fiji on the list and calls Kangaroo Island 'Australia's answer to the Galápagos'.
