The 2015 debutants are Spring Caribou Migration (Nunavut), Historic Li-lik-hel Mine Expedition (British Columbia), and The Rat's Nest Adventure Tour (Alberta).
Visitors to the Arctic Watch Wilderness Lodge on Ennadai Lake, Nunavut, can watch one of nature's rare events, as hundreds of thousands of Qamanirjuaq caribou sweep north to their calving grounds during the spring caribou migration.
Winner of the 2014 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, Canmore Cave Tours offers a spelunker's delight with the The Rat's Nest Adventure Tour, giving guests the opportunity to climb, crawl, slither and rappel on a guided tour of this Provincial Historic Site.
The cave has over four kilometres of explored passages and lies under Grotto Mountain near the Rocky Mountain township of Canmore, Alberta.
A three-day horseback tour, called the Historic Li-lik-hel Mine Expedition, is the final new addition to the Canadian Signature Experiences collection. Copper Cayuse Outfitters transport guests back to British Columbia's rich gold-mining past in wild-west themed township of Pemberton, nestled deep within the coastal mountain ranges of the Canadian Pacific Ocean.
“Through the Canadian Signature Experiences collection, tourism entrepreneurs do a great job showcasing to the world everything our country has to offer, while creating jobs and growth here at home,” said the Honourable Maxime Bernier, Minister of State (Small Business and Tourism, and Agriculture).
The new additions take the total CSE member list to 186. These unique, bucket-list travel experiences range from urban gems and active nature pursuits to wilderness and wildlife encounters and connecting with Canada's people and past.
