SilverNeedle Hospitality Continues Expansion of Sage Hotels in Wollongong New South Wales

SilverNeedle® Hospitality expands its presence in the coastal city of Wollongong with the re-branding of Chifley to become a Sage Hotel™ from today.

Sage Hotel™ Wollongong features 168-rooms that provide glimpses of the beach as well as 13 function spaces that can cater to more than 400 guests. As a Sage Hotel, guests receive complimentary Wi-Fi in their rooms with much welcomed mini bar offerings comparable to local convenience stores and laundry services at street pricing.

“We have placed great emphasis on staff training to ensure that we are able to deliver on our service promise as our goal is for guests to feel as though their stay at the hotel is an extension of their home," said Mr Sean Flynn, EVP, Hotels Division, SilverNeedle Hospitality. “This includes making the hotel a place where there is a sense of familiarity with our products and services and where guests feel that they are a part of this special community,” he added.

Located just over an hour south of Sydney, Sage Hotel Wollongong sits moments from the Pacific Ocean, offering endless pristine beaches dotted with rockpools, ocean baths and golden sands as far as the eye can see, and best of all it's minutes from the city centre and adjacent to WIN sports and Entertainment Centre.

“Sage Hotel Wollongong is well-poised to meet the demands for contemporary 4-star accommodation sought by both the corporate market as well as leisure guests and families. The short distance of this coastal town from bustling Sydney will resonate well with them and SilverNeedle Hospitality's decision to launch the brand here is testament to the potential this city has to offer," said Paul Wilsher, General Manager of Sage Hotel Wollongong.

The former Grand Chifley Adelaide was the first property in SilverNeedle Hospitality's portfolio to be rebranded to Sage Hotels in June 2015. SilverNeedle Hospitality has announced that a new-build Sage Hotels in West Perth will open in 2016.
