Festival of Ned in Bendigo

No matter what you think of him, Ned Kelly remains one of the most intriguing characters in Australian History.

This autumn in Bendigo there will be plenty of events around this iconic character, including the 'Imagining Ned' exhibition at Bendigo Art Gallery and the world premiere of 'NED - a new Australian Musical' at Ulumbarra Theatre.

Imagining Ned (until 28 June)

Drawn from several private and public collections, view rarely accessible historical items plus paintings, drawings, photographic works, film, sculpture and ceramics focusing on the life and legend of Ned Kelly.

NED - A New Australian Musical (22 - 31 May)

A stunning cast of actors and singers have been brought together to bring this World Premiere production to life, in co-operation with the Ulumbarra Theatre, Bendigo. With hauntingly beautiful melodies, raucous humour and a driving orchestral score that captures the sound of the Australian bush, NED will leave you humming while you ponder what it means to be Australian. Please click here for more information.
