Eager to share California’s abundance of iconic travel destinations, luxurious retreats and bucket-list getaways, Visit California announces the release of the all-new, 2015 California Official State Visitor’s Guide. Featuring inspiring articles, exciting trip ideas, invaluable maps and stunning photography, this year’s 187-page edition offers consumers the perfect, free resource to consult while planning their next adventure in the beautiful Golden State.

“California is full of amazing escapes and our visitor guide is intended to inspire travelers to come here and experience them on their next vacation,” says Caroline Beteta, president and CEO of Visit California, the state’s official tourism agency. “This year’s guide includes a bounty of ways to dream big in California, featuring insights into the state’s fresh food and wine bounty, helpful tips for exploring the great outdoors and ideas for making unforgettable memories while enjoying California’s hidden treasures.”

The visitor’s guide also includes 12 feature articles accompanied by the kind of photos that will make any traveler long for a California adventure. Offering a wealth of travel ideas and experiences, these articles make tapping into the buzz of Silicon Valley, sightseeing through Hollywood’s cinematic history or tasting your way across California wine country possible for all.

Other highlights include the 015 Official State Map and interspersed regional maps, which feature a combination of must-see destinations and surprises, familiarizing travelers with California’s lesser-known wonders. While unable to encompass all of the state’s many attractions, these maps give visitors an inside scoop into exploring some of California’s most iconic and unique destinations.

From celebrating 100 years of family fun at San Diego’s Balboa Park to experiencing the magic of surfing along California’s legendary coast, this guide is sure to help visitors find their ideal vacation. In addition, this guide’s dozens of must-see events, helpful lodging suggestions and 12 regional trip ideas span the entire state, enabling travelers to enjoy California’s very best, whether visiting the state’s mountains, oceans or valleys in-between.

Visit California (formerly known as the California Travel & Tourism Commission) is a non-profit organization with a mission to develop and maintain marketing programs – in partnership with the state’s travel industry – that keep California top-of-mind as a premier travel destination.
