Young Queensland talent to shine in Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo

Brisbane Boys’ College pipers Finn Clair,
Pipe Major Nicholas Shelburn and Archie McClure
The first wave of performers set to impress in the exclusive Brisbane leg of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo were unveiled yesterday, including the Brisbane Boys’ College Pipe Band.

The incredible honour will see the local musicians combine with more than 30 bands and cultural groups, from more than 12 countries when The Tattoo takes centre stage at Suncorp Stadium in February 2026.

Aptly named “The Heroes Who Made Us”, the announcement took place at the College in Toowong – just one suburb over from Suncorp Stadium, where the band was joined by the Tattoo’s Creative Director, Allan Lane.

Tourism and Events Queensland CEO Craig Davidson was also on hand for the announcement to congratulate the young rising stars and praise the positive impacts that mega events like The Tattoo contribute to our state.

Other local talent in the line-up includes the Queensland Police Pipe Band, the Australian Federation Guard, the Australian Defence Force Pipes and Drums, and the Combined Military Bands of the Australian Defence Force.

The Brisbane performances are another milestone in Queensland’s expanding event calendar, as it marches towards its ambition to be events capital of Australia. The exclusive run is set to inject $39 million into the state’s economy.

Limited tickets are still available through Ticketek.
