The Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) has revealed the compelling new theme for its 2026 Knowledge Monday program — “Expertise Matters!” Set to take place on 9 February 2026 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), this inspiring program will open AIME with a deep dive into the power of knowledge, critical thinking, and professional mastery in the global business events industry.
Curated by El Kwang, Founder of BEAMexperience, Knowledge Monday 2026 builds on the momentum of last year’s acclaimed theme, “We Matter!” — evolving the conversation from self-leadership to the strategic skills that define industry excellence.
Celebrating the Power of Knowledge in Business Events
“Expertise Matters!” is more than just a theme — it’s a movement recognising the thinkers, planners, and visionaries who drive success in business events. It highlights the professionals who identify opportunities before challenges arise, who bring clarity to complexity, and who unite people with purpose and precision.According to program curator El Kwang, the theme reflects a natural progression. “The success of ‘We Matter!’ in 2025 laid the groundwork. With ‘Expertise Matters!’ we evolve the conversation, because in the age of AI, being deeply human has never been more relevant. What sets our industry apart is not just what we know, but how we express and apply that expertise,” Kwang said.
Guided by Industry Leaders
Helping to shape this year’s Knowledge Monday experience is the 2026 Advisory Committee, made up of respected leaders from across the Asia Pacific business events industry. Together, they are designing a program that inspires debate, sparks curiosity, and celebrates collective learning. The 2026 Knowledge Monday Advisory Committee includes:
- Ashleigh Cooper, Events Manager, Charter Hall
- Maggie Diasinos, Account Director, MCI Australia
- Max Jantasuwan, Founder & CEO, Events Travel Asia Group
- Ronald Lim, Business Events Strategist, Think Event by Think Tank Productions
- Sarah Markey-Hamm, CEO, ICMS
- Denise Sorrell, Director of Events, Australian Dental Industry Association
- Felicity Zadro, Founder & Managing Director, Zadro
- Anna Patterson, Founder & Chief Amazement Officer, Sight Agency (new for 2026)
AIME’s Vision: Driving Growth Through Knowledge
Silke Calder, AIME Show Director, emphasises that “Expertise Matters!” underscores the credibility and confidence of the global events community. “At AIME, our mission is to provide a platform that reflects the strength and insight of our industry, bringing together the best minds, the most innovative ideas, and the leaders who redefine what’s possible,” she said.“With the guidance of El Kwang and BEAMexperience, and the dedication of our esteemed Advisory Committee, we’ve created a Knowledge Monday program that celebrates the deep expertise driving meaningful outcomes for businesses and communities worldwide.”
