Snow was still falling this morning but the wintry conditions didn't stop skiers and snowboarders from getting out there and enjoying the fresh snow today. Yesterday's strong winds have blown significant snow drifts into the resort from the main range, creating plenty of powder stashes for riders to enjoy this week.

The polar-powered storm rolled in on Sunday afternoon and isn't showing any signs of slowing down yet. Experts forecast that this low-pressure system will continue to deliver lots more fresh snow to Thredbo over the next two weeks. Mountain Watch is calling for up to 59cm over the next 7 days, The Bureau of Meteorology says 70cm+ and Snowatch is predicting up to 82cm over the next 14 days.

These freezing temperatures also create ideal conditions for snowmaking operations. Thredbo's snowmaking crew have been able to fire up over 100 snowmaking guns for up to 14 hours every night over the last three days.

The recent snowfall and upcoming forecast are getting skiers and snowboarders excited to ride fresh powder and explore new terrain in the coming weeks.
