Ha Long Bay in Quang Ninh Province is known by many domestic and international tourists as one of the World Natural Heritage sites recognized by UNESCO. Not only does it possess emerald water and nearly 2,000 limestone islands of various shapes, with many interesting caves creating a world that is both lively and mysterious. Hundreds of rocky islands, each owns with a very vividly different shape. Hidden within those rocky islands are beautiful caves such as Thien Cung Cave, Dau Go Cave, Sung Sot Cave, Trinh Nu Cave, Tam Cung Cave...
Besides, Ha Long Bay is also a place of biodiversity with a rich and diverse ecosystem. At the 45th session of the World Heritage Committee on 16th September 2023 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) announced the new inscription of Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago to the list of World Natural Heritage. Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago was added to the World Heritage List due to the natural beauty including vegetated limestone islands and karst pinnacles rising above the sea, along with associated karst features such as domes and caves.
This UNESCO World Natural Heritage of Vietnam also has a special appeal for those who love sports such as hiking, swimming, diving, boating and climbing.
