Tourism services are identified as a priority industry in Quang Nam. They contribute to the provincial socio-economic development, improving the local material and spiritual lives, especially in areas with developed tourism activities.
Reportedly, Quang Nam aims at developing into one of the tourism centres in Central Vietnam and the whole country; building national and international tourism brands, tourism products, and services; preserving and promoting tourism advantages and potential; developing tourism in rural and mountainous areas, etc.
At the same time, tourism linkages with the provinces and cities in Central Vietnam and the Central Highlands are also focused on in order to improve provincial competitiveness.
Lately, Quang Nam has launched a smart tourism system and digitalized the provincial tourism data.
Quang Nam is planning to develop different types of tourism, attracting high-end tourism projects in coastal areas.
In particular, the province will focus on cultural and ecological tourism, especially the two world cultural heritages of My Son Sanctuary and Hoi An ancient town.
Along with tourism development, Quang Nam will help handicrafts and craft villages develop, upgrading and building the provincial tourism infrastructure, and protecting environment. Quang Nam will become a sustainable green tourist destination.
