Saturday 11 May at Darwin Showgrounds. Tickets on sale Friday 16 February.
Hold on to your hats... Rodeo Promotions NT is proud to announce its inaugural Top End Rock n Rodeo Muster to be held on May 11; a unique combined rodeo and festival set to pull in punters from near and far for a full-on day of rodeo events, music, food and kids carnival rides.
Tickets go on sale this Friday 16 February through Ticketebo.
Knowing Darwin’s great love for country music, the Rock n Rodeo Muster has announced headline acts The Wolfe Brothers and Casey Barnes. Also on the bill is 2024 Golden Guitar Awards New Talent of the Year, Max Jackson, alongside local talents Stereobate and The Fame Junkies.
Spurred by the success of their wildly popular Northern Golden Buckle Series in 2023, Rodeo Promotions NT decided to create an even bigger and better rodeo experience.
From Promoter Russell Simpson: “Knowing we had to turn vast numbers of locals and tourists away from our previous events, we decided to move to the Darwin Showgrounds. This gives everyone the opportunity to attend and enjoy the great facilities they have on offer.
“We have a full event rodeo, five bands, a great range of local food, carnival rides for the kids, and—another first for Darwin—Mulletfest. Where else would you want to be?”

The Top End Rock n Rodeo Muster forms part of the 2024 Northern Golden Buckle series. Rodeo Promotions NT hopes the growth of the Top End Rock n Rodeo Muster will not only help local rodeo competitors to succeed in their sport, but that it will showcase local artists and give them opportunities they thought were out of reach.
The musical pairing of The Wolfe Brothers first charmed the public in 2012’s Australia’s Got Talent; the Tasmanian duo have been captivating audiences and collecting accolades ever since. Having completed a self-described apprenticeship under Australian country music legend Lee Kernaghan, the brothers have travelled countless miles across Australia, the US and Canada to ignite audiences with their high energy live shows.
Their 13-year reign has delivered four #1 ARIA Country albums, 19 #1 singles on the ARIA Country Music Chart, and nine Golden Guitars – three from the 2024 Country Music Awards for latest album, ‘Livin’ The Dream’.
From Tom Wolfe: “We can’t wait to bring our show to the Top End Rock n Rodeo Muster, it’s been far too long since we have been to the Top End and we can’t wait to play for everyone!”
Another Tassie talent, Casey Barnes is one of the most popular touring acts in Australia. Following a massive 2023 where Casey picked up two Golden Guitars (Album of the Year and Top Selling Album of the Year) and an APRA for album ‘Light It Up’, Casey’s whirlwind 2024 touring schedule now includes headlining Darwin’s own Top End Rock n Rodeo.
‘Light It Up’ debuted at #1 on the ARIA Australian Country Album chart, #3 on the All-Genre Australian Album chart, and boasts over twenty months in the Country Top 20. Casey’s catalogue has amassed over 60 million streams.
Max Jackson, freshly crowned 2024’s New Talent of the Year at the Golden Guitar Awards, has made a big impact in the country music scene since her debut in 2020. From winning Toyota Star Maker (previous winners include Keith Urban, Lee Kernaghan), to having a #1 single in the Countrytown National Airplay Charts and being invited to play at CMA Fest in Nashville and SXSW in Sydney, Max has proved her chops when it comes to country.

Proudly supporting talent local to the Top End, Rock n Rodeo also welcomes Darwin’s own country-rock band, Stereobate, and cover band The Fame Junkies, known for performing chart-toppers ranging from the ‘60s to today.
Another newcomer to Darwin is Mulletfest. An ode to the iconic cut, Mulletfest has heats across Australia in the quest to find the most epic mullets across multiple categories, including 'Junior’ age brackets and a range from 'Everyday’ to ‘Extreme’. While the musicians and rodeo performers take care of the party at the front... Mulletfest has attendees covered for the party in the back.
Laura and the Mulletfest crew are excited to bring Mulletfest on tour to Darwin for the first time in the top end:
“We know there are brilliant mullets in Darwin like last year’s heat winner at Red CentreNATS in Alice Springs, Kieran. How good is your mullet looking? Log onto the Mulletfest website to register and strut your stuff with Darwin’s best!”
The Top End Rock N Rodeo Muster takes everything that makes a good rodeo — bulls, broncs and barrels — and expands it into a family-friendly festival, the likes of which Darwin has never seen before. Fans of country music, competing cowboys and girls, and carnivals will all find something to delight them at the Darwin Showgrounds on May 11.
Tickets through Ticketebo from Feb 16.
