$13.3 Million in New Tourist Accommodation across North Coast Reflections Parks will see Annual Visitor Spend Raised to $52 Million

Reflections Holiday Parks across the NSW North Coast are set to grow visitor spending in the region with the inclusion of $13.3 million this financial year in exciting tourist accommodation ready in time for summer and beyond.

Reflections Holiday Parks on the North Coast currently welcome more than 1.5 million visitors each year contributing around $51.2 million to the region's economy.

New accommodation options ready in coming months, including premium and luxury cabins, tiny homes and glamping opportunities, will help meet increased demand for high quality, sustainable holiday accommodation and contribute a further $1 million in visitor spending:
  • Premium eco-cabin precinct at Jimmys Beach including nine cabins, two glamping tents a luxury saltwater pool, and high-speed Wi-Fi for entertainment and work.
  • Four tiny homes with water views at Moonee Beach.
  • New glamping and accommodation precinct at Lennox Head including four glamping tents and two bell tents in a lush bush setting.
  • New cabin precinct of five tiny homes at Byron Bay in a beachside setting.
  • Six tiny homes by the river at Ferry Reserve in Brunswick Heads.

The increased accommodation drive for the North Coast will continue into 2023 with Massy Greene in Brunswick Heads to receive a new luxury cabin precinct ready for guests in March. The next few years will also see Reflections Holiday Parks at Hawks Nest and Forster Beach undergo major transformations with new cabins, upgraded premium powered camping sites and other new amenities including a pool and camp kitchen to significantly improve the guest experience.

Minister for Lands and Water Kevin Anderson the NSW Government is providing $28 million in loan funding to Reflections to support ongoing plans to improve park facilities.

“Reflections manages over 9,200 hectares of Crown land across NSW providing quality holiday experiences at 36 holiday parks, and our $28 million loan funding will help it invest in capital upgrades across the state to help grow regional tourism,” Mr Anderson said.

“Park improvements are part of Reflections' Strategic Plan to boost investment to enhance guest experiences, showcase regional NSW and support local towns, businesses and economies.”

Reflections Holiday Parks CEO Nick Baker said there are incredibly exciting times for the group with Reflections parks focussed on growth with a purpose. “As the largest holiday park group in the State, we see ourselves as the recreation centre for rural and regional communities,” Mr Baker said.

“Our $2 million Urunga cabin precinct completed in July 2022 and new cabins at Scotts Head now ready for guests this month will see a growth in visitor spending throughout the Bellingen, Nambucca and Coffs Harbour communities. Our Far North Coast regions will also benefit from an increase in tourist spending once our new accommodation goes online between September to November.

“Our parks bring value to regional tourism and communities and our park developments aim to boost regional economies. By FY 2030 we aim to generate $1.3 billion* in cumulative economic value for NSW while reinvesting profits back into our lands, assets and communities. We are a profit for purpose and growth with purpose.

“Every dollar spent at our parks equates to about $1.53 in tourist spending in the local economy, supporting NSW businesses.

“Reflections is the only accommodation provider which manages holiday parks and community reserves for the people of NSW. Our purpose is what makes us impactful and relevant, and our park improvements increase connections with communities.

“There was never a better time than now to Live More, Feel More, and Connect More. We can't wait for people to get out and experience new adventures at our parks and explore the very best regional NSW has to offer.

“Our nature escapes refresh the mind, body and soul and we will continue our path of growth with a purpose for the benefit of guests and regional communities.”
