SURUGA Marketing and Tourism Bureau

Under the towering figure of Mt. Fuji, the waters that flow from the mountain help us to grow Shizuoka’s famous green tea.

Tea enthusiasts can enjoy a day of picking tea and then drinking the fruit of their labours on a tea terrace facing Mt. Fuji.

Those same waters flow to Suruga Bay, which has the deepest waters in all of Japan.

Shizuoka holds a wide variety of scenic views from both the highest and lowest points in Japan.

A quick ride on the Tokaido shinkansen bullet train will bring you to the epicentre of Green Tea country.

Shizuoka Tea Tourism Desk
