Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Kawaramachi Jokyoji

Hotel and temple all in one! Tamonzan Torodo Jokyo-ji Temple was dismantled and rebuilt, integrated with a hotel in a first-ever collaboration. The spacious guest rooms evoke a “temple tranquillity”, from the basin which reminds of the hand-washing fountain in the temple to the room numbers, inspired by the temple’s lanterns as well as various vestiges throughout the rest of the building.
